God is so good.

Ok, just a quick bout of praise. I went bridesmaid dress shopping yesterday with Mom and Courtney, thinking, ok - we're probably not going to find anything that I'll seriously consider buying, but it will be fun to try some stuff on and be all girly with Mom and cg1, etc... and then, [insert choral "aaah"s]: the perfect dress was in the corner, waiting for me - and was about $100.00 less than I had assumed it would be. As my Mom says, *how did God know!?!?* hahahha. Seriously. The God of the universe even cares about my bridesmaid dress. I am so floored.

Yet these are but [a small part of His doings] the outskirts of His ways or the mere fringes of His force, the faintest whisper of His voice! Who dares contemplate or who can understand the thunders of His full, magnificent power? [Job 26:14, Amplified]

and, you know, he is the Author and Finisher of our faith, and i am thinking on that a little differently this morning of all mornings ... He wrote the desire for a dress that looked like that into you, then sent you on a quest to find it so that He could reveal it to you (which made it so much more satisfying, the questing i mean). how can we ever worry, if we can manage to focus on being true to Him and true to the hearts that He gave us.

i am thinking of John 1 (KJV):
[1] In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. [2] The same was in the beginning with God. [3] All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. [4] In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

is this making any sense? i am a little tired and emotional this morning having, like a fool, opened a book late at night and laid it down with the sun ... but there is something real here i may not be saying well.

and on a less lofty level, i was glad to be there and help, and you are going to look AMAZING in that dress. :)
