Here are the years that walk between:
twixt downfall and Deliverance.
Son of the morning once you were, yet
your arrogance has corrupted the purpose of you.
Like a lightning flash you fell from heaven –
faithless and accursèd.
Here are the years that walk between:
twixt the fall and the Flight.
Prowling the red clay and plush grass,
you seek whom you may devour.
Light-bringer and daystar once you were, yet
your treachery has poisoned the look of you.
Your forked tongue hides behind blackened teeth,
which rot with the narcotic sugar of deceit.
In these years you walk your reigning masquerade,
an empire of mendacious light –
to and fro
up and down
– feeding hungry hearts with rancid fruit.
Wipe wipe you cunningly the tears of the lost…
You stalk the gullibility of hearts –
adversary and accuser.
Here are the years that walk between:
twixt condemnation and Coronation.
You stand at the right hand of man,
a giant and irresistible warrior –
one hand flattering and stroking,
one hand indicting and stabbing.
What can men do against such reckless hate?
Brothers and sisters,
wipe wipe away the juice of spoiled fruit –
wash yourselves and relinquish your grasp of fear.
The way is not shut.
He who is able to hear, let him give heed -
there is always Hope.
Who is there to condemn us?
The darkness is clearing away: at dawn, look to the East –
The Light of the world sits at the right hand of God,
Pleading and interceding on our behalf.
He is the faithful and trustworthy Witness.
He is the Firstborn of the dead,
Who lovingly wipes away all tears with scarred Hands.
Here in these years that walk between,
twixt ruin and Rapture,
look to the Light.
Thereafter when the accuser makes you low,
you will say, there is a Lifting Up.

Chills. Thank you for posting this.
My favorite lines...
"wipe wipe away the juice of spoiled fruit"
"Thereafter when the accuser makes you low,
you will say, there is a Lifting Up."
"twixt ruin and Rapture"
killed me. (in the good way)
MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM I LOVE IT
